Chapter6. In The Hollow Hill

Jack untied the tree knots to go to the Hollow Hill.

The sleigh ran, and he and Annie found the hill that was without a peak.

Jack tied the three knots and the sleigh stopped at the foot of the Hollow Hill.

They climbed up the hill and stepped through the huge crack into the hill.

Annie guessed the Frost Giant was not here.

There was a deep rounded hollow that was a flat spot where it looked as if the snow had been blown in circles.

Annie found the hailstone but it was not sure of the right hailstone.

Just at that time, the ground kept rumbling. 

The Frost Giant was back.

Jack and Annie hid in the shadows because they heard anyone who looks directly at the Frost Giant will freeze to death at once. 

They ducked their faces and waited...

 

Chapter7. The Frost Giant

Jack was really scared as the Frost Giant's breathing grew louder and stronger.
And then the breathing grew softer.
It seemed that the giant slept.
Jack and Annie crept across the floor and climbed up toward the crack.
But the Frost Giant was awaked.
They scrambled through the crack and they came outside.
But an avalanche occurred and Jack was covered completely by the snow.
He couldn't do anything and fell asleep.
After a while, He awake and found Annie.
Wolves were around them and Jack drove them away.
Jack and Annie had to go to the palace before dawn.
So they rode the sleigh and ran from the Hollow Hill to the palace.
When they got to in front of the palace, they looked at the hailstone.
Annie thought it was beautiful, and Jack felt it was a little queasy.
And they charged toward the palace when the sun rose over the horizon.
