Chapter8. Return of the Eye

Jack and Annie walked into the palace.

The wizard was waiting for them and the two wolves were on either side of him.

Annie handed the hailstone to him.

He broke it, and pried his eye out of it, and fitted the eye into his empty socket.

But it didn't work so he raged because he thought they tricked him.

Just at that time, Teddy and Kathleen appeared.

They brought a woman who was the wizard's sister.

The wizard stared at her and then he wept with his frozen eye.

Teddy and Kathleen told how they found her.

A seal took them under the ice to the Isle of the Swans and Kathleen explained to her about this situation.

The wizard and his sister kept speaking softly to each other.

His sister returned home, and he could see perfectly.

And he gave Merlin's Staff of Strength to Annie.

Jack and Annie gripped it and called out, "Merlin and Morgan come back."

And then the two wolves changed into humans.
